CONSOLATION TOURNAMENTS

ü Players arriving late and players that are eliminated early have the opportunity to join the waiting list for a consolation tournament by signing up on the white board.

ü The consolation tournament will begin after a table has been consolidated due to elimination and 7 or more people are on the waiting list.

ü The consolation tournament is a single-table sit ‘n go format.

ü The number of consolation tournaments run is at the tournament director’s discretion.

ü Level changes are announced by the tournament director.

ü Players begin with 150 in chips.

ü The winner of a consolation tournament will be awarded a re-entry into the main event.

o The winner will re-enter the event with 1,500 chips.

o In the case that there are less players remaining in the main event than the number required for re-entry (defined by tournament director), the winner of the consolation tournament will not be re-entered into the main event and will be awarded 25 poker series bonus points instead. The “magic number” is usually the number of places paid out in bonus points plus 5.
