First of all... I did not know there was going to be that many tables. There was 32 tables and approximately 210 women participating in the tournament.

I won the first 3 hands and quickly became the chip leader at my table. A few hands after becoming the table captain, I lost a big pot that left me a little short stacked early in the tournament.

I uncharacteristically continued to limp-in with below average hands, but would then amazingly make a set on the flop. It's weird but it seemed like everytime I limped in I would win with a set.

As I made it deeper into the tournament, my stack went up and down. When I won, I won big. When I lost, I lost a lot.

One of the last few hands I played was when I limped in with a K6. The flop came 2 3 6 and I checked the top pair. This hand was down to heads up between myself and another woman. She followed my check by checking herself. The turn brought another 6 and she bet. I raised with trips and she called. The river looked to be nothing that would help either of us. She bet $1000 on the river and I called. She turned up A6 and won the pot. It was the only card that I felt she could have that could beat me .. and she had it.

After losing that hand I couldn't gain any momentum. My final hand was all-in with pocket queens and two people called me. One woman had J10 and another had AK. An ace came on the river and I was eliminated.

I finished in 114th place. The finish was dissapointing, but it was a great experience. I was not used to playing with that many females.

I had fun!
